Some questions to think about...

1. Compare quê hương with words such as homeland, hometown, motherland, patria, paese natale, or a similar word in your language. Which word feels closest? Which word feels more formal, emotional, or personal?

2. What does it mean to remember one’s roots? Think about language, food, family stories, holidays, places, names, or visits. Can a person have more than one set of roots?
